Happy Monday after Super Bowl Weekend. If you are like us, you are tired, so I will make this short. Short and simple, like today’s Daily Design! I am still working on the theme of space and minimalism. With these objects below I gave myself less than an hour to place them in an engaging way. I had two things in mind when I did this. First was the CHLLNGR song “Change” : I have been obsessed with this song lately, and the animation. I also heard an inspirational speech last week that I can no longer find. I will try to give you the gist…below today’s Daily
I’m putting this down here because I know I am going to butcher what I mean to say. It would be awesome if someone recognized what I am talking about and pointed me in the right direction. The speech was a man talking about nothing. Not just any nothing, the space behind your eyes nothing. But this “nothing” that people put a name to, and call it a soul; it is mis-leading to call it nothing, it is in fact everything. It is an entire universe that is the relation or projecting the universe outside the nothing. He mentioned this idea was Buddhist and he cited some examples of faith, but the point is it led me thinking, what does this mean to for my art? (crudely) How can you capture the space behind your eyes, what is the visual definition? And that is going to be the week of Dailys.
